Japanese Jazz singer, JUJU, serenaded fellow jazz lovers as she performed live on MTV Unplugged in New York's Time Square. It was earlier reported that JUJU will guest in MTV Unplugged live acoustic stage. JUJU became the first Japanese woman to performed in MTV Unplugged, wherein Ken Hirai was the first Japanese singer to have the honor.
Forty fans, chosen by a lottery draw, where able to see JUJU live on stage. It was the singer's dream to performed in MTV Unplugged after she watched Ken Hirai's performance 10 years ago. The sultry singer performed 15 songs in total, starting with "YOU" and ended her performance with a cover of Billy Joel's "New York State of Mind". JUJU, who has been living in New York for quite some time, claimed that she has fallen in love more with jazz music ever since she stayed in the Big Apple.
Lastly, JUJU will released her 21st single "Tadaima" this June 13th.
