Why is Tohoshinki not on the list? They sold nearly 3 million copies of their singles in Japan O.O
flipangel_88 29th-Jun-2012 10:12 pm (UTC)
I have to agree ... If KARA is on this list so should THSK ...

cleotine 30th-Jun-2012 11:11 am (UTC)
Guess there's nothing shameful to losing only to SMAP cause after all, they're... er, SMAP :)
apneatic_melody 29th-Jun-2012 10:32 pm (UTC)

edneichon 30th-Jun-2012 12:56 am (UTC)
like Mori's prediction x Smap, nro1 for a loooong time~
leicee 29th-Jun-2012 11:04 pm (UTC)
smap - 21 years since debut and ONLY ~22 million
arashi - 13 years since debut and ONLY ~17 million

AKB - 7 years since debut AND ALREADY ~15 MILLION!!!!!!!!!

by end of this year, akb will be #2, and if they keep this streak in less than 2 years, they'll be #1.

johnnys "best" groups bested in less than a decade. LMAO
smilepi 29th-Jun-2012 11:12 pm (UTC)
I thought they debuted in 2006? (First single was released Feb. 2006 under an indie label. It's been less than seven years then! :D)

"ONLY" 22 million is a little too much. SMAP and Arashi are household names (esp SMAP).

I'm looking forward to seeing AKB break even more records. :DD
wasabisushi404 29th-Jun-2012 11:45 pm (UTC)
Just look at the sempai Johnnys!

I'm proud of V6. Made it into the top ten :3
eishastan 30th-Jun-2012 12:18 am (UTC)
Damn AKB48 is high and they are the youngest artist in the top 5! i see them taking over in the next couple of years if they don't lose popularity with Maeda's graduation! go girls!!
