The daily sales of the new releases had quite some surprises on the singles chart. On the first day Kim Hyun Joong sold 137,774 copies of his new single Heat. His first single sold 100,110 copies in its first week, which makes it an impressive increase of sales.
A lot more surprising are the numbers 2 and 3 on the daily ranking. Hello! Projects girl group Morning Musume sold 56,139 copies of their new single which is a lot more than all their recent first week total sales. Yamashita Tomohisa only managed to get the number 3 position in the charts, selling 54,244 copies of his new single LOVE CHASE. All of Yamashita's previous singles managed to get to the number 1 weekly position, but it looks like even handshake events can't prevent him from breaking his consecutive number 1 streak.

Momusu's sales will probably be a lot lower over the rest of the week, but it's still impressive.
