It has been announced that SMAP will be providing TBS theme song for their coverage of the London Olympics. The same song will also be released as SMAP's 48th single; the single is titled "Moment".
"Moment" is composed and arranged by Ichiro Yamaguchi of Sakanaction. Yamaguchi is also responsible for "Magic Time", which is included in "We are SMAP!" album back in 2010.
SMAP's Nakai Masahiro will serve as TBS main commentator for their Olympics coverage. This is the third fifth time that Nakai will serve as the main commentator, the first one was for Athens Olympics (2004) and then for Beijing Olympics (2008).
SMAP promises that the lyrics and rhythm of "Moment" will inspire and boost the morale of the athletes.
