Rola meets Carly Rea Jepsen

Rola recently made a parody video of Carly Rae Jepsen’s hit song “Call Me Maybe”. The video has reached over 2,300,000 views in just a week. Carly even saw the video and tweeted, “Simply adorable! Love your version of ‘Call Me Maybe’. Flying to Japan tonight!”

This was the first time Carly had met Rola. She stated, “I’m so happy we could meet like this after watching your parody video.” Rola replied, “I’m also happy to meet with you. I always listen to your songs and dance around my house.” Rola gave Carly a kimono and sushi keychain as a present to welcome her to Japan.

The girls chatted for a while as Rola gave some recommendations, “You should go to 109! They have a ton of clothes there, and they’re reasonably priced.”

In related news, during one of Carly’s special events in Japan, the audience made another parody video titled “Call Me Maybe by Japanese fans!!”. Check it out below.

I saw the TV clip where she met Carly, and while she asked her some simple questions in English, she mostly spoke in Japanese through an interpreter. I get the impression that she can handle simple conversation, but not much more than that.

I don't understand what's so special about that parody? She doesn't sing it herself and some Youtubers would have done better in singing, dancing and the video itself.

Ok if I ever met someone that acted like the way she did irl, I would want to punch them in the face. But Rola is just too cute, I can't dislike her at all really.

But girl 109 is not reasonably priced.

yeah.... when i got to that point and she was like, the clothes there are really reasonably priced! and i was just like, gurl, no. no. not at all. it is so freaking expensive, just go to other places around harajuku, the smaller stores, much more reasonably priced..

I suppose it's reasonably priced if you are crapping money, but unless you have that particular problem/good fortune, it's vastly overpriced.

this. when I went Tokyo i was like 'omg so ex' when I went 109, but I managed to find some reasonable & even cheap clothes at harajuku! (like a top for 16bucks, and I can't even get a decent-looking top in my country for this amount)
