Yamada Ryosuke, Hey! Say! First Solo Debut

Popular member of Hey! Say! JUMP, Yamada Ryosuke‘s solo debut has been decided.

Debut song “Mistery Virgin” will be the theme song of NTV’s drama SP “Kindaichi Case Files: Hong Kong Kowloon Treasure Murder Case” where Yamada challenges the role of a high school detective. A song with a mysterious atmosphere, a drifting dance number and lyrics to match perfectly with the image of the drama.

Up until now he has performed in concerts alone and as a member of Hey! Say! JUMP, although he has shown his talent in singing and dancing before, this is the first time to perform an original solo song which will be released as a CD.

JUMP’s first attempt as solo artist, Yamada, “I’m glad I can do this in such a memorable occasion (60th Broadcasting Anniversary of NTV), though this has always been something in my dreams, I’m overjoyed”, he happily said.

Currently working in Tokyo Imperial Theater as part of the main cast of “JOHNNY’S World”, dedicated to commemorate Mr. Johnny Kitagawa (81) Guinness Certification Memorial. “I want to keep working hard and devoting myself as Hey! Say! JUMP’s Yamada Ryosuke”, he vowed.

His debut performance as solo artist will be held live in NTV’s music festival “Best Artist 2012″ to be broadcasted in November 28th (7PM). The single will be released in January 9th, 2013.

Thanks for replying. I don't really know about Shounentai. Was he actively releasing solo single along with group single? or he's gone solo after Shounentai activity quieted down? as far as i know, they never officially break up but the members seemed to be doing their own thing after a while. And i considered NYC debuted, however i never thought of them as a solid group given Y and C are tied w/ HSJ. They're temporary at best and i'm not surprised w/ Yuma doing solo. i always felt that's what JE want, they just haven't figured out the best way to do it (AKA release with a big sale)

one thing w/ NEWS and HSJ is the number of members. it's harder to organize things with more people especially when they become more popular and each has more work. w/ 2 or 3 people group it's relatively much easier to group-ungroup as their schedule allow, hence no permanent break up. i think that's one reason Pi decided to leave eventually. i think it's the same w/ KT, Jin wanted to do his things, KT was not going to wait around for him so separate way it was. naturally.

if the rest of HSJ is willing to wait and Yamada is willing to work around his solo schedule then they stay as group i guess but if either one of the two party aren't willing to do so then well...

reading what u just said.. I remembered something..
wouldn't that make Yamada's 3rd time debut?
HSJ, NYC and now a solo.
Now if NYC sticks around (although I hate their songs), then it means he has to juggle all that workload and schedule. Wonder how much he's able to handle.

But when it comes to Yamada, all these attention on him, he pretty much didn't start off as a golden boy. He works really hard and blends well with the group. Just gotta see how he handles all these extra attention and workload.
