For the second consecutive year, AKB48 lead the Billboard JAPAN Hot 100 singles chart in 2012 overall with "Manatsu no Sounds good!". Selling point for this single was heated by an overwhelming vote of the general election ticket single selection that possibly increased the degree of public attention along with it, with adding point of the airplay factor. They also manage to dominated the Top 3 with "GIVE ME FIVE!" at #2 and "Gingham Check" at #3. Moreover, they also became a hot topic with the team reorganization, Tokyo Dome concert, and the graduation of Maeda Atsuko.
