Popular group Hey!Say!JUMP member Yamada Ryosuke’s (19) solo debut single “Mystery Virgin” (released on January 9th) sold 189,000 copies in the first week, and topped the Oricon weekly single chart for the week of January 21st.
It was the first time in 32 years and a month for a teenage solo male artist to top the chart with a debut single since Kondo Masahiko accomplished it with his debut single “Sneaker Blues” when he was 16 years and 5 months old.
“Mystery Virgin” was used as the theme song to Nihon TV’s special drama “Kindaichi Shonen no Jikenbo - Hongkong Kowloon Treasure Murder Case” that was aired on the 12th.

Amazing. That is high number for solo act. He is really very popular in Japan. I bet J-storm will take this as a note for another his solo single. Well, as long as he still in Jump I won't complain :)
