On January 31, LDH the agency fo GENERATIONS from EXILE TRIBE’s Shirahama Alan, released a short statement regarding Shukan Bunshun’s report about his relationship with AKB48’s Minegishi Minami.

According to their comment, “We leave his private life up to him. He told us that they were nothing more than just good friends.

Shunkan Bunshun reported that Minegishi spent the night at Shirahama’s place, on the latest issue published on the 31st. It caused Minegishi’s demotion to Kenkyuusei, and she also posted an apology video on AKB48’s official YouTube channel with a shaved head.

I hope more agencies would become like LDH in regards of dating rules. Thank you HIRO-papa <3

Edit: Wow those angry wotas hating on him. Some fans need to understand that he didn't do anything wrong nor is he able to fix anything. They should also stop calling him a coward with no balls who doesn't support his friend. You don't know what happened in private.

This makes me feel sick because it reminds me of those women in WWII who got publicly shamed and got their heads shaved because they were accused of having relationships with Nazi soldiers.

oh my gosh I never thought about that, but this does have a sickening echo of treatments like that. Or women who were accused of being prostitutes having their hair cut off in the town square, things like that.

Anything that tarnishes their "purity" results in having their "femininity" stripped away (aka their hair). Eeugh, got chills there.

idol culture (especially akb48) is degrading, smh @ that money-hungry pedo akimoto for perpetuating this shit
myharu 1st-Feb-2013 06:41 am (UTC)
well first of all the idol business in general is money hungry, please tell me at least one idol company that's "in it for the music" and seeing how the average idol in any country starts out in their teens, I'm guessing (by your logic) everyone that managed them are pedos

I just rme at people blaming everything and everyone else apart from akb's management who are partly responsible for feeding this creepy controlling wota culture.

Wotas should hate on AKB management and agency, not on Alan. THEY were the ones who demoted her and made her feel ashamed of her own sexuality (if there even was something going on)

It would already be a huge step forward if female idols got similar 'rights' as male idols. As long as a male idol is debuted and legal-aged, girl scandals actually are used to promote a new single etc. As long as the guy doesn't marry (though that's one of the not-so-good points...why can't a 35-year-old idol not marry?) or make out in public, he can at least go out and flirt. It sometimes seems like a specific balance: Male idols should sell the image of being available to fangirls BUT at the same time they shouldn't stick with the 'pure' image - after all no girl wants what no one else wants. Being available and at the same time giving the image that you are wanted and manly.

Not saying everytihng is goody and perfect for male j-idols, but it's a lot better for them than for the female idols.

Also, I don't get why he has to apologize. Considering the attitude of his kickass management, his contract probably mentions something like "you can fuck as many people as physically possible for you, but please don't tell us any of your stories because we honestly don't care". Yea, there's a line like that somewhere in there.
Anyways, this whole thing seems to have blown out of proportion and is a bigger deal because of dumbtastic fans. All accusations seem to be assumed rather than actually confirmed.
According to Alan, they were never dating, but who knows that could be him just covering up for the sake of both him and Minami, or they never were dating and are indeed just friends. Whatever the truth is, in the end it shouldn't really matter to any rational person living their own lives who uses these people just for entertainment purposes. All that should matter is that they keep doing what they do to entertain us, and the rest shouldn't matter.
I just really hate obsessive fans, like a lot.
Probably the wrong article for my little rant. The only reason I really care is because I'm a fan of this guy and he entertains me a lot and I want to keep seeing more of him, and I hope none of this effects his career, because even if the management doesn't care, fans are an entire different story.

Honestly, this was both her and his fault. She knew the rules and of course staying overnight at any male friend's house would lead to a scandal if caught. It's not the first time any of us are hearing this from any celebrity. It's sad that she feels that she had to shave her head to prove anything. As a girl, I know that a girl's hair is everything to their appearance. I feel for her =/
