Japanese netizens give their views of Minegishi's scandal and shaving her head

Comments from 2ch.net:

Mura (Imo):
Isn’t this culture of accepting an apology if someone shaves off their hair a bit weird? Especially when there are some people nowadays who do it themselves for the sake of fashion.

Exotic Short-hair (Kanagawa):
Wow, that really is close-cropped w Still, she’s minging.

Mura (Imo):
Akimoto (AKB48 manager): ‘doing something like this would save her from her criticism (with a smirk)’

Snow Lepoard (Iwate):
Close-cropped, hilarious www This has set a good precedent, let’s find out all the scandals and make JKC48.

I'm back. Lol, I saw this and wanted to post it.
Glad to see that the kids at 2chan are sane. This is actually what most fans are feeling. Sadly the insane ones with evident problems ended up being the loudest and turned what was certainly nothing into something way tooo big.

I'm just sitting here in Sydney watching one of our local news stations and even they've run a piece on. Amazing!

i really do think that this is sincere and coming straight from her and not the company. if she didn't care about akb, she would have done the mikitty route and PEACED out. this is her way of expressing her shame.

the contracts are wrong - they shouldn't be not allowed to date whomever they want because the poor wotas can't handle their idol being with their choice of men lover. wouldn't they want them to date because it'd show that even they fall in love with average/celebrities guys/girls? don't they want them to be happy?

i really do like that the comments posted here from the netizens aren't slut shaming her - which is the last thing she needs, to be honest. i mean, i don't doubt there are assholes slut shamming her because she wanted to have sex with her boyfriend. and i do hope that this will incite a change in all and future contracts in the idol industry (it's a shot in the dark, but you never know until you try).

Sorry, but putting this video on the net is really cruel and mean. I guess not she uploaded that video and that she doesn't wanted that too. Massacres more then that its really cruel and not human-like.

In Japan is right now the biggest news about that and nearly everybody is talking bad about AKBs company and management, because AKB stuffs are using AKB members to just get money.

I'm so sorry for her, but I guess she'll be forever mentally ill, she gonna be isolated and she'll get afraid going out again. Same as Mitsumune Kaoru. I red in the past few weeks that she has anorexia and she can't stand on her own legs. She is always sitting on a wheelchair or lying on the bed.

Actually I am not an AKB fan but, they are really poor and I think no wonder why they get sick, cos they have a lot of presser from theirs maneger... :/

Honestly, the shaving is only such a tiny part of the problem.
The fact that she thought she had to do this to redeem herself for something as normal as having a boyfriend - that's truly terrifying.

How awful!

Its sad and I feel quite angry.

But at the same time I cannot really blame anyone because this girl chose to sign an idol contract. This should be a reminder to anyone that becoming an idol means you have zero private life. And in some ways I kind of hope this idol culture in Japan dies down and perhaps embrace a more liberal, creative music industry like in the West (seriously imagine if Amy Winehouse or Adele was born in Japan and had to sign an idol contract, what a mess would that be...)

I am thankful that this is not the case with non-idol J-pop artists, they tend to have a lot more freedom, especially thinking about Namie Amuro and Utada Hikaru who have at least freedom in terms with their private lives...

im sorry for her.
i think its not right for idols not to be in a relationship cause we are all humans, you know...
but on the other hand, if her contract states she cant be in a relationship, she should be very clear whats gonna happen if she was seen staying overnight at a guy's house. (whether did anything happened that night or not :/)

i agree with the last one's comment.
everyone has their right to privacy no matter what, i think they're passing the borders of their jobs.
