The agency of 31-year-old actor Tatsuya Fujiwara announced on Friday that he is marrying a 34-year-old woman. The agency added that the woman is not in the entertainment industry and that the couple plans to register their marriage this year. The two had met through an acquaintance in the summer of 2004, and they had decided at the end of last year to get married.
Fujiwara's many roles include the lead roles in the live-action films of the Death Note and Kaiji manga. He also starred in the Battle Royale films and Takashi Miike's Wara no Tate. He voiced the character Cipher in Ryuhei Kitamura's motion-captured Baton film, Spiller in The Secret World of Arrietty film from Hiromasa Yonebayashi and Studio Ghibli, and a character in the Gyakkyō Burai Kaiji: Hakairoku-hen anime.
