Namie Amuro and TLC will be collaborating!



TLC will be releasing a special 20th anniversary greatest hits album and Namie Amuro will be featured on one of the new tracks! They will be recording a new version of one of TLC's biggest hits "Waterfalls".

This isn't the first time Namie worked with TLC. She's worked many times with TLC's main producer Dallas Austin and a remix of Namie's 2003 single "Put em up" feat. TLC member Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas was scheduled to be released, but plans fell through.

The album comes out June 19th and the new version of Waterfalls will be released online tomorrow.

OMG, this is great though I figured this from a while back. What I really want is a version of No Scrubs feat. Namie & Ayu, they can sing from experience.

Cool! I think Namie and TLC will be a great match in vocals and style.

Say, have any of you heard of the song "Voice of Love"? It was a collaboration between TLC, Japanese and Korean singers back in 2003. This charity single raised money for underprivileged children around the world, but sadly didn't sell much and never got any attention. Which is a shame, since it's one of my favorite songs, really moving, the ending still tears me up. ;_; Check it out! :D

Yay, I'm always glad to see TLC. Yeah, no one can replace left eye, but I also want them to move on and be successful.

While I'm excited I can't help but worry about the scrutiny Namie will get for being part of this re-do. A lot of people who don't respect Asian artists are going to show their asses.

To me I think it's most likely not going to be out of disrespect for Asian artists but more of the fact that they replaced her over Left Eye's part...

I love my girls so much and I am still so sad that Left Eye is gone -__- ..... like that shit hit me so hard because I actually met her and spent time with her like a year before she passed
