Kis-my-ft2 to appear in this year's Kohaku; Kanjani8 is out!

Last year, there were five Johnny's groups performing at Kohaku: SMAP, Arashi, Tokio, Kanjani8 and NYC.  But this year, it'll be only four groups to perform: SMAP, TOKIO, Arashi and Kis-my-ft2.  It is said that for some time now, Kis-my-ft2 has received the favors of SMAP manger, Ms Michi Ijima to co-star and to perform alongside with SMAP which has lead to Kis-my-ft2's rapid growth in popularity with appearances in many CMs and dramas.

For this year's Kohaku, NHK wants SMAP Nakai Masahiro to be the host again.  And Iijima with her great influence on TV stations, bartered to have Kis-my-ft2 appearing with SMAP on the show.

As for the open performance on Kohaku, NHK will fill it with a K-pop group maybe SNSD or Tohoshinki.

Kanjani8 were sooo good next year, and they bring along a good mood when they performed ! I'm sad about it... Hope they will be back to Johnny's Countdown or make their own Coundown...

their performance was quite different and energetic, making the show quite lively...

it's so sad they've been kicked out despite their good achievement this year...

They did a fun performance last year in Kouhaku.

Urgh... Kanjani8 would be so much better. And they were so happy last year...

And Nakai to host?! What about Arashi???!!!!
stormy_dentist 24th-Jul-2013 01:48 am (UTC)
do you really hope Arashi to host Kouhaku again?
apneatic_melody 20th-Jul-2013 10:15 pm (UTC)
Just to be clear, these are all rumors, not decided facts.

I don't particularly care who gets to host this year's Kouhaku as long as it's not Arashi again.

None of this sounds very likely... especially a Korean act opening the show.

my thoughts exactly.
nanu00 21st-Jul-2013 01:02 am (UTC)
so many mixed feelings about this...
I´m happy for Kisumai and sad for Kanjani8 (they were super happy to perform there last year)

If all this means they All will be at the JE countdown then is great ( I missed them last year) if not - _________________________ -
I want to see Arashi live in the countdown!!!

If K8 won't be on Kouhaku this year, then they will still be won't be in Tokyo for coundown, they will hold their own countdown in Osaka instead!
