Paparazzi hound Utada Hikaru as she arrives in Japan

I saw this today and it's just terrible. Let her mourn in peace. The video is especially heartbreaking.

Through Google Translate, I think that the second link mentions that they were surrounded by around 40 reporters :(

"let her mourn in peace" as you post a gallery of these sick photos? give me a break! you should not have posted this in the first place, it makes me sick to my stomach... at least put EVERY image behind a cut because i clicked on arama without expecting to see this disturbing picture (i was actively trying to avoid it) and i feel triggered... so much that i had to make a comment to speak my mind about this situation. the mod who made this post should be demodded because this level of voyeurism is crossed the line. leave this to the crap shoot like TMZ!

are you ok
crimsonbreeze 29th-Aug-2013 11:33 pm (UTC)
She looks so fragile and vulnerable. I always thought she was strong enough to overcome anything, but I was wrong. Her image reminds me of her younger time, circa First Love. So natural, exposed. I hope you can find relief in the beauty of this world Hikki. You're way too young to dwell into this pain.

Why is this even a post. I don't want see these horrible pictures and I'm sure others don't. This isn't entertainment news! A young woman lost her mother. Not cool!
ayatsurimaster 29th-Aug-2013 11:59 pm (UTC)
This is inhuman. These pictures and video shouldn't even be posted.
Poor thing.
tokyocinema 30th-Aug-2013 12:10 am (UTC)
first, that one lady who wanted to turn her mother's suicide into a song and now this. Honestly, I'm pretty sure no one would blame her or hold it against her if she just snapped and bitch slapped these idiots.

Just saying. /hairflip

jw does anyone possess any form of common sense or
evilblueberry 30th-Aug-2013 01:03 am (UTC)
sadly if she did do that I think they would still blame her for the whole thing. Media and people are so messed up.

Vultures swoop in. We know she's upset. We don't need photo confirmation
evilblueberry 30th-Aug-2013 01:02 am (UTC)
omg just seeing the pics is so heartbreaking. That poor woman. And that last picture.. no pap should ever be that close to the car. Such sick people. I really hope Hikaru will find some peaceful sanctuary away from all the media so that she may heal and grieve in peace. My thoughts are with her.
zr_misc 30th-Aug-2013 01:14 am (UTC)
I don't understand why people are freaking out because of the paparazzi, a famous person like her should always expect her photos to be taken everywhere she goes. It's not new information that paparazzi's don't have common sense.
nyankee 30th-Aug-2013 01:18 am (UTC)
No, what we should expect is for paparazzi to stop operating like a heartless machine in situations like this, not that Utada should live with the idea that people are going to set flashes off in her face while she tries to mourn the loss of her mother.

We need to be holding paparazzi, fans and other people inclined to do this nonsense to a higher standard, not blaming celebrities for not "expecting" to be treated like they're an exhibit at fucking SeaWorld. The problem is not with them.
nyankee 30th-Aug-2013 01:15 am (UTC)
The death of a parent is not a fucking circus show. It brings the worst kinds of people into your life even when you're not famous, and the thought of everything people who are high-profile like this always have to go through turns my stomach. I really wish people would leave her and the rest of her family alone. Let them grieve in peace and on their own terms and stop taking pictures like you're at a zoo.

THISSSS. My grandfather died this year, and it's destroyed all of my relationships with my relatives on that side. So much unnecessary drama, motivated by selfishness.
lolufailhard 30th-Aug-2013 01:48 am (UTC)
You can just see the grief in her eyes, and her lips were seemingly trembling at one point...... :''''(((((( How could they do this to her? I thought the paps would at least be relatively respectful for a while..... How heartless and insensitive...
baby_angel191 30th-Aug-2013 05:09 am (UTC)
Seeing this picture of her really breaks my heart. People just have no respect/privacy. What has this world become? :(
mizumi10 30th-Aug-2013 08:18 am (UTC)
i know op didn't mean to post this because it wasn't thought through, but how distasteful and disrespectful these paparazzis are. :( such fragility i see. makes me want to cry.
akame_koi13 30th-Aug-2013 10:52 am (UTC)
This really is horrible. For goodness' sake, the woman's mother just passed away. Leave her alone! Does no one have any shame or sympathy or humanity?!
jennyhime 30th-Aug-2013 12:48 pm (UTC)
So sad,am I hearing correctly there's a female journalist yelling how does she feel now. What a dumb question to even ask, it's clear she's sad and heartbroken.
