Paparazzi hound Utada Hikaru as she arrives in Japan

I saw this today and it's just terrible. Let her mourn in peace. The video is especially heartbreaking.

Through Google Translate, I think that the second link mentions that they were surrounded by around 40 reporters :(

The death of a parent is not a fucking circus show. It brings the worst kinds of people into your life even when you're not famous, and the thought of everything people who are high-profile like this always have to go through turns my stomach. I really wish people would leave her and the rest of her family alone. Let them grieve in peace and on their own terms and stop taking pictures like you're at a zoo.

THISSSS. My grandfather died this year, and it's destroyed all of my relationships with my relatives on that side. So much unnecessary drama, motivated by selfishness.

I'm sorry about your grandfather, and I feel you. When my biological father died I was barred from the funeral because his wife didn't like me, and she could finally do something more concrete about that than refuse to have me at their house. He wasn't even around anymore and she was that desperate to remove me from their life and pretend I didn't exist (she claims he doesn't have a daughter).

Yeah I had an argument with my uncle at my dad's funeral. Looking at hikki like this really made me remember the things I felt when I lost my dad.
