Usually I wouldn't even have clicked on this because I'm not a huge fan of most Japanese female singers but this... wow this is beautiful and I feel so moved for some reason. So yeah, even if you wouldn't usually click on this, give it a try if you're looking for a soothing song to listen to on a rainy day :)

For me it's not that surprising, since I find that talented Japanese singers are hard to find in general... especially these days, were you often need to look outside of Oricon to find them. Most of the female Japanese singers just don't appeal to me. Famous female artists like...I don't know, Ayumi Hamasaki or Amuro Namie, I just don't dig their voices. Of course, there are really good ones, like Ayaka, YUI, Utada Hikaru etc. But I guess it really is personal taste :) You're welcome :)
EDIT: Although you're right, I don't like many male Japanese singers either but I think I didn't include that statement because I feel that there are less male solo J.singers out there than female anyway :)

That's okay, I love different input on this :)
I think that maybe my standards are too high these days :D Back in the day I was a real fan of Gackt, had lots of CD's and I still like his music and feel nostalgic when listening to it, but I don't think he has an amazing voice, same with Hyde and all those considered similar... My favourite male artists are people like Hata Motohiro, Daichi Miura, Yuya Matsushita, Ohashi Trio or Shouhei Ito who have not only a wide vocal range but whose voices are also very appealing to me :) You're right, idols are really clogging up the charts. I wish that these companies, with all the money they make, would actually invest in people with talent (and then not hide them behind dozens of other members :/)
