KAT-TUN to hold Countdown Concert & Release of Mini Album

It has been decided that KAT-TUN will hold their first countdown live concert on December 30 and 31 at Kyocera Dome Osaka. A new mini album titled 「楔 -kusabi-」 is also planned for release on November 27.

It was announced on 「Shuichi」 and during the video message that is taken the day before on October 12, Kamenashi commented 「Sorry for things to end up like this. Honestly, it's regrettable. Perhaps there was something more that we could have done instead. There are feelings of complexity and regret. But we will draw the line distinctly, accept the circumstances sincerely and progress forward.

From UedaFrom now onwards we will become a 4 person group, we will contemplate and come up with things that can only be done by the four of us, so as to present the best of ourselves when we appear in front of everyone. Please give us your support from now on as well.

Taguchi Today is the first time that we appear in front of everyone as a 4 person group. Seriously we are still baffled but i really hope and desire to move forward from here. Including individual and various activities i will try my best and work hard. From now on as well please give us your continuous support.

Nakamaru who appeared during the live broadcast remarked 「It's a sad outcome. We asked the agency for possibilities in any way if they can recede that, but we were told that it's already been decided. But well personally i have many mixed emotions of sadness and anger. He should have known that there are possibilities for consequences to take place, yet he (Koki) braved the risks and gave priorities to his private life, i have told him this as well. As we have been together for a long time, i felt regretful and sad. As we felt bewildered as well, sorry to let the fans feel the same way. We have been told what is going to happen now that the person in charge of rap is gone, well it is impossible to fill the gap of that person, but we will steadily explore the possibilities that the 4 of us will form.

The live will start at 18:00 on December 30 and 22:00 on December 31 at Osaka Dome.

Ganbatte kattun!!
i wish they'll sing more ballad now, maybe song like bokura no machi de, or white xmas.

and new album is not bad, so now it's kattun's turn to not appear in JECD?
i heard that jin will be in JECD, maybe that's just rumor, but if it's true. it's so JE then to not let them in one stage. but again yamapi and news still come to JECD, so maybe i am just reading it too much.

finally some great news amidst all the bad ones we've been having these past few days..the much awaited group activities that the fans been waiting for are here now..

and i'm very delighted and at the same time feeling a bit apprehensive at how 4nin will sound like now that koki is gone but i'm holding on to this:

We have been told what is going to happen now that the person in charge of rap is gone, well it is impossible to fill the gap of that person, but we will steadily explore the possibilities that the 4 of us will form.

but i'm very happy that we won't have to wait for such a long time to see or hear from them..that was one of my worries in all this things that have been happening..

KAT-TUN deserves this very much..

I was worried that it would take like 6 months? When Pi and Nishikido left NEWS, the band was already in halt for a year and it took them another 6-8 months to get back to activities. Considering last KAT-TUN's single in May, I was afraid I'd have to wait a year. But fortunately they are resuming their activities. Probably it's the test how fans will react (mini-album sales, tickets sales) and counting how much they lost with Koki. After all Jin took about 1/3 of fans...
kamelli 13th-Oct-2013 02:25 am (UTC)

KAT-TUN tried to salvage Koki with JE but...this is painful for the group.

I'm really really happy that at least fans and KAT-TUN will get the opportunity to meet each other and encourage each other after the regretful incident.

though of course the hole left behind by both Koki and Jin can never be filled by other members, as KAT-TUN is originally composed of members that do not give up easily and with all seems to have a musical sense, as long as they step up their game, we are going to see a new KAT-TUN that will not lose out to the old one.

Wow at Nakamaru. Never seen him this ~emotional~.
. I know they really tried to make JE scrap that termination. And they are well aware thay Koki's rap is irreplaceable.

Goodluck! Nice to see things progressing though seeing them sad really breaks my heart.

You can tell from his comment that he's still in shock and was holding back the tears!

But to know that the members actually fought for him to stay makes relieved and happy and I bet they'll be closer now as ever!

Maru's bitch face, tho...

This all still hurts so much. It's probably best to make the impression as 4 members as soon as possible but i'm not ready for it.
ungalad 13th-Oct-2013 02:53 am (UTC)
Well, among all the crap they've been through so far, these are good news for them. I'm glad at least the agency is supporting them at some level with this. Aaaaand I can't help but be a bit resentful that they didn't do the same for NEWS when they pulled Ryo out of the group and Yamapi left. u.u Still, I'm glad they will resume activities so quickly. Plus I can't help but think it's very interesting to see KAT-TUN members expressing so much of their thoughts and feelings on this matter. Usually the agency wouldn't allow it... Or at least that's the impression I had from previous situations like this. I feel really sorry for them. Nakamaru's words were so strong and raw. :(
carmine_pink 13th-Oct-2013 05:57 am (UTC)
I think NEWS took a greater hit to their self-confidence because they lost the two most famous members at the time. That, or the agency originally didn't have that much faith in the remaining four and made them prepare more. Things probably would've been different for KAT-TUN if, say, *knock on wood* Kame were the one they lost.
lady_mercury 13th-Oct-2013 03:01 am (UTC)
kame sounded like he was gonna jock a bitch.
yuuki_saya 13th-Oct-2013 07:50 am (UTC)
I wouldn't be surprised if they fought over it and someone was left with black eye. Old habits die hard...
beatbox2991 13th-Oct-2013 03:20 am (UTC)
They are like ready crying anytime while talking, special Kame, guess it's Ueda this time will stay strong for the group atm. Is it just me that think this concert is not the good thing for them at this time?

sky_astropolis 13th-Oct-2013 03:41 am (UTC)
i think for KAT-TUN it might be the best option,
bcoz live concert is like their power spot (as mentioned by Kame & Nakamaru in recent mag interview), plus i think they really need time to talk as a group about the new situation, and arranging for concert might be the best medium to really map something out and just let out any emotions that still lingers. plus the fans have been waiting for quite a long time for any announcement of tour or single, and some are really at the edge of their patience.
evilcoc0nut 13th-Oct-2013 03:42 am (UTC)
Gah, Ueda lately. 8D But yay new album thinger.
lolufailhard 13th-Oct-2013 03:46 am (UTC)
damn... so fast. I feel like this announcement was almost TOO soon lmao. I guess it's still good news tho considering how long we've been waiting for news of "group" activities. I'm curious to see how they'll work out as a 4 member group.

anduril_narsil 13th-Oct-2013 04:43 am (UTC)

akame_koi13 13th-Oct-2013 05:16 am (UTC)
Nakamaru! I swear to god that guy surprises me every time!
So sad this one wont have Koki, but very happy for the new plans. Can't wait!
mrstaguchi100 TAKE MY MONEY13th-Oct-2013 06:38 am (UTC)
Where can I preorder that album, how do I get myself to Japan for that concert because I swear to god that if nothing else, I will do my little bit to tell 4-nin KAT-TUN that people still love them. Like Nakamaru said, it's not their fault Koki decided to YOLO it and put his private life before the group, and I really hope that their sales don't go steeply dropping after this incident.
