Sad news to fans. Idol actor Kyousuke Hamao earlier announces his retirement from the industry via his official Ameblo blog and a special video broadcast. Hamao is known to play as Agri/GoseiBlack in the 2010 Super Sentai series, Tensou Sentai Goseiger.
Hamao mentioned that he worries about his future and wanted to continue his studies to get a professional degree, and hopes to fulfill his dream of becoming a lawyer. Crying, he thanked fans for all the support. Watch the recorded video from the broadcast below:
Friend and junior in the industry Yutaka Kobayashi (Kamen Rider Gaim's Kaito/Baron) stated in a blog post that he was surprised on the announcement and added that he will support his "sempai" on his decision. He then posted his first photoshoot together with Hamao.
Kyousuke Hamao starred in various theater acts including The Prince of Tennis Musicals (2007-2009) as Eiji Kikumaru, Peacemaker (2011) as Souji Okita, and Sengoku Basara 3 (2011) as Chosokabe Motochika. Apart from Goseiger, he also starred in movies and TV shows such as the Takumi-kun (2008) boys-love film series, Gokusen 3 (2008) and Messiah (2013).
Kyousuke Hamao will be retiring after the premiere of his latest film this February 2014.
