Kis-My-Ft2’s Yokoo Wataru, Miyata Toshiya, Nikaido Takashi, and Senga Kento’s four member special unit “Busaiku” released their debut single, “Tana Kara Botamochi” on December 13. The four, who dared to release their single on an unlucky day such as Friday the 13th reached the number one spot of the Oricon Daily Single Ranking on the same day.
This song was produced, choreographed and had its music video directed by SMAP’s Nakai Masahiro. Before the debut, fans were in an uproar with comments such as “This song is interesting!” “I can’t get it out of my head!” and “I want my kids to dance to it!” On the day of the single’s debut, the group performed on Music Station along with Nakai Masahiro.
Assorted 2ch Reactions:
"This is the era for even idols to turn ugliness into sales…"
"Even though they can’t sing they don’t lip synch"
"If it sells more than Kis-My-Ft2’s actual CD, what will they do?"
"Hey world, this is Japanese music"
"This is all thanks to Nakai
Only Nakai’s fans bought it"
"It’s just like Nakai to intentional go the way of masochism"
"I think the front three are ugly"
"Of the year’s released Johnny’s singles, I like this one the most"
"I sort of like Kisumai but I don’t really like their songs. However, I like this song."
"When I watched Music Station I thought this song was interesting but to surpass AKB in the daily rankings is pretty amazing"
"They just copied Golden Bomber"
"This kind of thing is pretty gross
Nakai just wants to think “I raised these guys” "
Tbh when I first heard the song and saw the video I thought it was the dumbest thing ever. But the song kind of grew on me and even know it is stuck in my head. I thought the Music Station performance was pretty funny with Nakai in his nerdy get up. Overall it's cool to see these four doing their own thing. I wonder how they will hold up in the weekly rankings.
Btw I took these comments not from 2ch itself but from a site that gathers 2ch comments in an easier to read format. Reading the actual site is a pain for me.
***Edited to Add: The reached number two on the weekly chart!
