Ohno Satoshi new drama

Ohno Satoshi's new drama, "Shinigami-kun" in this April.
He plays as Shinigami no.413 . It will be on TV Asahi at 11:15PM on Friday nights.
The director will be Hideo Nakata, who did the Ring movies and Death Note’s L movie.

"Shinigami-kun" is a live-action drama adaptation of Endo Koichi's (best known as the author of "Tsuide ni Tonchinkan") manga which began its serialization in 1983 on Fresh Jump.

Though the protagonist is a reaper whose role is to send the dead soul to the spiritual world, it is a heartwarming fantasy that refers to parental love, friendship and even delves into social problems like bullying, therefore, the manga is known as Endo's "visionary masterpiece" among his fans.

Ohno's role is "Shinigami-kun" (aka "Reaper No.413") whose job is to pronounce death to expected people, and to take their souls to the spiritual world. His real name or other detailed profiles are not revealed. Dressed in a back suit with a bow tie,he appears in front of the expected person with his signature phrase "Congratulations! I'm here to call on you." As he is a rookie reaper, he tends to make a biased decision toward the human side, and break the rule of his world which always causes him to get reprehended by his boss called "Chief."

For the drama, filmmaker Nakata Hideo ("Ring", "Kuroyuri Danchi") is in charge of its direction while Hashimoto Hiroshi ("Jukunen Rikon", "Unmei no Hito") writes the script.

Can't wait! So excited. Although I really want to see him in a romance drama but well, maybe later haha.
Now he's Shinigami-kun after Kaibutsu-kun lol..
Hopefully the story won't be that scary because I'm bad in something horror x(

Since both of the are from a different tv station so I think there might be 2 singles like Your Eyes and Face Down before :)

I'm still in a good mood :)) Watching Jun's drama now. In the future is Ohno and Nino, and Aiba also. Sho is working on his movie. Ahh, I guess their 15th year must be special, ne? Still waiting for their Arafes 2013 DVD and ''Love'' live tour DVD ^^

Happy that everyone is the group has a project to celebrate their 15th anniversary with :) I remember just recently that Ohno-kun said on his radio show that he doesn't want to do romance coz of the kissing scenes. Like he feels like he would have to call Jun-kun up and ask what to do LOL~ and plus he has had a bad experience needing to kissing a guy on a mini-drama on a show Aiba-chan hosted in the year 2000.

For the story, I thought it would be scary too but it turns out that it will be a heartwarming story about all kinds of love and with the theme of 'cherish the time we have on earth' or something like that. Can't wait :)

since there's a movie director involved, hopefully the cinematography will be better and won't look a low-budget mess. i know that's reaching considering the timeslot tho :(

am i the only one who thinks its like a darker version of kaibutsu-kun? lol i read something in other sites that theres gonna be aspects of love and friendship and heartwarming stuff in it too so.... LOL we'll see i guess :P

april will be an awesome month =D but not for my wallet i guess

It is actually darker than Kaibutsu-kun. I've read the manga up to volume 5. ^^

TV Asahi have official site for Shinigami-kun up already with staff informations. No casting yet beside Ohno. I'll be updating it on my tumblr page still using "shinigami-kun" tag, but there is a LJ community dedicated to this too.

Interesting plot! I will see this for sure. Both Ohno and Nino have interesting drama and not sappy! I hope :P
Thank goodness I just bought another HDD. Guess my Arashi-radar is working really well haha.

and tbh, I haven't watch Shitsuren Chocolatier a bit. Is it good? I don't really like romantic-drama much, so I prefer to just wait until the whole series is over/complete, then I will watch.

Shitsuren Chocolatier is nice, although I have to admit that I'm interested in its music more than plot. Not follow every week but every 2 weeks, since I want to see the clear development in story line :D The couple Souta - Erena is so cute ^^ Wish they will make it in the end :)

I really love the music too and can't wait to the releases of the soundtracks.
But for me, the story is good too! Although the development is somehow quite surprising. Well, it's so "shitsuren", nee~ hahaha..

I'm happy ohno has another drama. Hopefully he will not strain himself too much. I'm excited that he has a kind of darker role, looking forward to how he'll act this one out.

I was mildly surprised of how I enjoy kaibutsu-kun, so I think I'll watch this. And I hope riida got some kissing action, he seems so desperate for it :D

also seeing the storyline, i cant help but be reminded of this
