Choutokkyu (also known as Bullet Train or Super Express) released their PV for 「ikki!!!!!i!!」

The song starts around the 2:00 mark.

My brain is very confused but it's okay because these boys are weirdly attractive and don't have bad vocals, the song is catchy as well.

So this is supposed to be a tribute to the classic arcade game going by the same name or something to the same effect? Same premise (dumbass farmers staging a revolt because of heavy taxes), same blip-and-blop 8-bit effects, etc... Us gamers, huh?

Totally unrelated but, holy Christ, has this place died down since last time I visited it. Nobody willing to translate Japanese news anymore?

I asked this once, someone else too. It's hard to post because the entries get accepted late and you can only post one at a time. I asked if the mods were busy or something, I do understand this happens a lot, this is why I stopped running certain types of blogs/sites, because it takes a lot of time and dedication. But being a community that we all can contribute with posts, when a mod gets busier and cannot be here often, it's sort of frustrating, not because of his/her absence, which is understandable but because nobody says anything on the matter and updates pop-up once in a while. Users keep submitting posts, but they shall wait for those to show.

I see blogs recruiting every twice a year, because of the same reasons, but here on arama nobody has come to communicate if they need help or they aren't able to update the site/accept submissions that often. So we're all wondering if everything's all right, I guess.

I think I'd even volunteer to approve posts but I'm afraid to ask, since I don't know if they like that. But there definitely need to be more people approving or this community is going to die.

if you have the time, do send the mods a message. PLEASE. I'd send myself and offer to help but can't commit because while my work is now stable and at one place, I might get shipped somewhere at a short notice and that's NG for responsibilities.
Arama could use at least two or three more staff, so do try and maybe we can get the comm up and at it again :)

I could be persuaded to translate stuff too so if you're accepted (I hope to god, really because this is just disappointing, this state of arama) so don't be shy to pm me if help is needed.

THIS so much! I'm mainly posting PV's here but my last post needed 5 days to be approved! And you can only put one post into the queue so this community is basically dead if no one approves the posts faster.
I don't see why I should put the effort into translating something if it's going to be approved only a week later :( So sad...I considered writing the mods but didn't know what to say :D

way to lump all of J&A together, lol.

nah, watched a few lives and vocals lack power and can't hold the notes clearly. Potential is there and with experience and practise there can be lots of improvement but I'm still saying that they're not good. I didn't say they're horrendeous or bad, but... can't say good at this point ;)

seem fun thou, and that's always a plus.

Not exactly, they are from the same company, as well as DISH and PrizmaX but their concept is a little bit different, because they base it all on the performance group thing, the dancers are usually the ones to take the center of a song, while the two singers stay behind on formations. They are so entertaining and getting better and better. They do share the same sentai-colored idea of MomoClo though.

I suggest you check out Bloody Night and the rest of their past PV's, they are so catchy and funny at the same time ^^

yeah, meant momoclo as in colorful and all the crazy and the stupid, lol :p
I'm not ready to get into them as long as their lives aren't vocally sound but they're new and improving so chances are I'll check them out later.
It seems they're likely to perform on a festival in May/june if 2ch is right and I'll be near the place then and there are other interesting acts too so I just might go see them live ^^

They're actually in the same company as Momoclo (and are considered their 'little brother' group). I'm kind of a massive Chouttokyu fan/run their FB page right now :3 *Runs away.*

the first think I thought of was power rangers cause of the colors LOL. But they're still young and have potential since it looks like J&A is losing speed.

I got such a shock seeing Chouttokyu posted here :D I'm a huge fan of theirs (to the point of importing their CDs and spending over $100 on a DVD box set of a variety show they're on with brother groups Dish// and Customize). Ikki!!!!!i!!! is one of their best songs so far, and a massive step up in terms of budget for them as an indies group. I'm looking forward to their next single Believe x Believe - the opening theme song for YUGIOH Arc V. The next costumes are hilariously ugly compared to their outfits here, but that's Chouttokyu for you.
