FAKY to be Revamped; One or More Members Leaving

(July 16th, 2014) It was announced today via social media and newsletter that Avex's girl bilingual group "FAKY" will be "revamped" meaning one or more of the girls will leave the group. They will also undergo an image development. Their mini album, which was due for release April 2014 has been delayed until July 2nd. Read the message below for more details.

New and Revamped “FAKY” to be Announced in Early 2015
First and foremost, thank you for your continuous support for FAKY.

As a result of extensive discussions amongst the members of FAKY and the staff, it has been decided that FAKY will undergo further development, including the possibility of reconfiguring the members of the group, in order to enable delivery of a more powerful form of entertainment and music that is truly unique to FAKY.

In light of this decision, FAKY’s debut mini CD album (CD+DVD : RZCD-59537/B, CD ONLY : RZCD-59538) which was slated to be released on April 9th, 2014, will instead be released digitally for a limited time starting July 2nd, 2014. We extend our sincerest apology to those who made reservations for the debut mini CD album but hope that you understand that the girls need to undergo this process in order for FAKY to become a more cohesive and united group.

More info about digital release.

FAKY in its current form with Anna, Lil’ Fang, Mikako, Diane, and Tina will temporarily cease their activity as a group, but will continue on with their individual activities during this process throughout 2014.

FAKY is currently planning to make their comeback in early 2015 so please be on the look out for updates regarding the new and revamped FAKY.

Thank you always for your support.

A Message from FAKY:
Thank you for all the love and support you have given us throughout the past year.

We are truly sorry for this sudden announcement but hope you understand that this is a necessary process for us to improve as a group.

We will continue working hard in hopes to share with you, once again, the excitement and our passion for music in early 2015!!

Thank you truly for all of your support and we look forward to seeing all of you soon!!

FAKY / Anna, Lil' Fang, Mikako, Diane, Tina

I'm sad to hear this, yet I am not surprised. The group seemed a bit lost in terms of their image--at first it appeared like they were going for a Jelectrocpop, then Kpop look, then similar to American mainstream. I wonder if it has to do with Lil' Fang's individual activities; I know she worked with Back-On for a single. My bet is that she is moving on. She could go solo imo but who knows? I hope they return because they had some awesome vocals. What do you think Arama?

Man, this is depressing. I love them because they have a more mature/badass style to them and of course the international aspect of them.
:( :( :(

I am not a really big fan yet, though I was expecting more new PVs from them. And it's now impossible. I got to love them because of their song, The One. I'm not really after the image or something, it's their vocals that amazed me. I love their voices and their cool and mature image.

They never appealed to me, and I am a sucker for groups of all sorts, especially if they dance and do more westernized sound. Recently I'd been finding stuff from forgotten groups that cohexisted with SPEED and later on with Dream and ParaGo, and I do like them. But FAKY were lacking something, maybe it's true they didn't seem to me like a group, it happens the same with some K-Pop girl groups, that I like the members individual skills, but don't hear them as a group. Anyway, the news are sad, but I hope they can all find their own way out.

Well that sucks. I found their image to be refreshing.
