Weekly Oricon Chart: Albums/Singles/Music-DVDs

Johnny's group, Kis-My-Ft2 who debuted last year with the single "Everybody Go," have topped the singles chart with "SHE! HER! HER!", making this their 3rd consecutive no.1 single. The title track is the theme song for their CM "Watering KISSMINT" in which the group members pose as girls. Their first album, "Kis-My-1st" will be released on March 28th.

Meanwhile, rock band Janne Da Arc's vocalist, yasu has achieved his 1st no.1 album with "『2012』" with his solo project, Acid Black Cherry. This is his first no.1 album in 13 years on a major label. Either for Acid Black Cherry or Janne Da Arc, the highest placement they have achieved previously was no.2. This album follows the 5 singles in 5 consecutive months campaign starting with "Pistol", "Shangrila", "Chou", "CRISIS", and "Yes", for a total of 16 tracks.

In the DVD chart, popular Johnny's group, Kanjani8 have now become the highest-selling male artist in the first week in Blu-Ray Disc history so far by selling 44k copies of "KANJANI∞ GO-DAI DOME TOUR EIGHTxEIGHTER Omonnakattara Dome Suimasen." The previous record was set by Mr.Children in November 2011 with "Mr.Children TOUR 2011 "SENSE"" which sold 43k copies of Blu-Ray Disc in the first week. Kanjani8 have also grabbed the no.1 spot for overall DVD, and by topping the DVD and BD charts simultaneously, are now only the 4th male artist to do so besides Mr.Children, RADWIMPS and EXILE, for a DVD+BD total of 204k copies

This DVD/BD was recorded during Kanjani8's 5-Dome Tour last year, including the New Year Countdown performance in Kyocera Dome, ushering into their 8th anniversary. From setlist to footage, costumes, down to the smallest details including huge balloons, pillar of fire and fountain, which concluded with a dynamic live production, are all produced by the Kanjani8 members themselves. The Limited Edition of the DVD includes Christmas performances from Nagoya Dome, MC digest from each leg at each venue, surprise footage from Tokyo Dome, and other unpublished backstage footage.

LUNA SEA releasing digital single to raise funds

According to LUNA SEA’s Official Facebook, the band will be releasing a digital single to raise funds for the earthquake relief.
This will be LUNA SEA’s first new song in 10 years.

About the “New Song Download Fundraiser” for Tohoku-Kanto Earthquake Relief

We, the members of LUNA SEA, would like to once again express our sincerest sympathies to all the victims and their families affected by the Tohoku-Kanto Earthquake, and also would like to extend our deepest condolences to those who sacrificed their lives and their families.

As we hope to contribute to a fast recovery and revival of the damaged areas, we have decided to make a brand new song in 10 years available for download in which all of the proceeds of LUNA SEA will be donated to earthquake relief.

What can we contribute as LUNA SEA in a hardship like this?

After a thorough contemplation, all the members agreed that we shall generate support through music because music is the reason of our presence and our lifetime mission.

We are preparing the new song now and trying our best to bring it to you as soon as we can. We will update the details as soon as they are available on our official website. We ask of your patience until the new song is ready.

Let’s walk together hand in hand until the day this tragedy is healed.
